So interesting to hear the parts of the original fic that most caught your attention (stopping the storm, Jeju, the forgiveness conversation - I don't know, I wouldn't have guessed those!) versus reflections on the parts you brought in (SEOKMIN <3, Minghao's guilt, the junhao). Tickles my brain so badly that your characterization of Minghao here was built off of just... letting the character run away from you, in essence. It worked SO well. I hope you enjoyed the research process. I mean, I know we angsted to each other about the difficulties inherent in remixing someone else's fic and how hard it is, BUT. Genuinely I hope the writing was fun for you because it resulted in something SO gorgeous and grounded and special and you should be so so proud of it!!!
I said this before but it feels like such a special gift, to receive a remix like this. I will use the word beautiful one thousand times and it will not be enough. Thank you so much.
