eternal: first listen

Here's my first impression of the Eternal album, simply copied from the word doc I had rambled into while listening.

Listen both for Kyungsoo and for him I had a full plan to write about their music in genral or in yonk's case about this songwriting or my favourite vocal moments etc etc I'm incapable of sticking to anything. Maybe next year. LOL.

This really is mostly incoherent first listen thoughts being saved for posterity and to contrast with what I feel about these songs now.

best song: very gravity esque…a slow start, interesting. Uobeat but the melody isn’t all that happy …seconf part of the chorus is beautiful. A grower for sure.

Guard You: You Make me meets insomnia esque vibe??? I like the buildup in the prechorus and the instrumentation breakup. The chorus instrumentation is a lot more bare than I expected it to be, VERY driving drum. Unexpected.

not gonna love: Oh MY GOD??????AVRIL VIBES?? RAPPER YOUNGK. I HATE LOVE!!! Nice chorus lol. Very pop punk.???wtf is that siren??synth? bridge key change? Or something???

Microphone: that’s a fucking beautiful starting. Akmu….jannabi level. THE MELODY ???????ITS SO GOOD. BRIDGE.

want to love you:fuck tis so pretty fuck fuck, I have nothing to say, he;s in impeccable form. It’s a ballad that’s perfect and that delivers and it never gets boring and the outro is SO good at variations

come as you are:man banger after banger, the last three tracks have been perfection. Young k sounds just right. The geudaero geudaero so good, the melody and the way youngk twists it is perfection. The instrumentation light but present beat was a good choice. Aah the kayers at the bridge, THE KEY CHANGE?!!!omg WOW

goodnight, dear: HE WENT SOFTER?! JESUS FUCK. …this is too beautiful to even comment on, its exquisite. The guitar the everything. His voice is pin pricks of perfection. Aaah the guitar. My heart is just clenching

Moral of the story is that youngk forever one of my favourite vocalists and writers.
